Penny for your thoughts.
AI tools will come and go, but memory should be yours forever. Penny is a secure, portable, advanced identity system that works with any AI agent, tool or platform.
Stop being a stranger to every new AI.
Penny helps you bring your memory, projects, skills and context across every AI you use - ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Cursor, Codex, whatever comes next. Instead of having to start over with each new AI tool, you simply point them at Penny, and they instantly know who you are and how to help you get things done.

Walk out anytime.
No permission needed.
One command, and every note, every preference, every project comes with you. Portability isn't a favor here. It's the point.
Yours - and sealed.
Your memory, notes and other data are encrypted. Every unlock is on a record you can check, and a public log makes sure nobody can quietly change it.
You're the customer,
not the product.
You pay for me, so I answer to you. Your data is yours to keep and it's only used when you give permission.
Private, portable, and protected.
For most AI, import is a one-way street. Easy in, no way out. Your memory should leave as easily as it arrives - one command, everything, yours.

Works with every AI tool.
Even the ones not invented yet
Penny speaks the Model Context Protocol - the open standard used by Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Cursor, and Codex today. One connection, no per-app integration, no lock-in. Stop using one AI and start using another with no gaps.

Encrypted & Private
With receipts to prove it
Every memory is sealed with AES-256-GCM under a 256-bit key unique to you, stored apart from your data — so a leaked database is unreadable. Every access is on record in your dashboard and sealed daily into a public, tamper-evident log — so you'll know if anyone ever accessed your notes, and no one can quietly erase the record.
We built Penny for ourselves, and security and privacy matter to us.

Better than human memory
Every search runs by meaning and by exact words at once, then fuses the results — so the note surfaces even when you ask the question differently than you wrote it.

Automatically improves over time
Just like human sleep, background consolidation weighs recency and importance, keeps what's durable, and lets the rest fade — the way memory is supposed to work. And it all happens safely and securely.

Leaving is a feature.
Read, edit, and delete your memories and notes anytime. Export on request today; one-click export on the way. Your memory belongs to you - leaving proves it.
Memory is just the starting point, Universal Identity centralizes all the things that make you, you.
Any assistant can remember what you said. Penny keeps what that memory is about: your notes and the context behind them, the projects you're driving, the rhythms you keep, the numbers you track, and the way you want work done. It's one identity you own, carried into every assistant you use — not a profile each app rebuilds from scratch.
Imagine if all the information you cared about was safely stored away in your own private vault but instantly available to the AI tools you choose, when you choose.

Stop Starting Over
You are much more than your chat history. Keep the things that matter, no matter how often you switch AI Tools. Here's a look behind the scenes in your private memory dashboard. You may never use these screens but your AI will, and you can always look for yourself.

Your Memory in Every AI Tool
Your notes and memories live in one place you own, not inside whichever AI you were last talking to. Write something down once and every tool you connect reads it back — the same notes, the same tags, the same search.
- • Fully searchable and edit any time
- • All automatically updated and maintained

Tasks & Projects Follow You
Areas, projects and tasks are part of your memory, so the assistant you're working with already knows what's open, what's blocked and what's due. Close something out in one tool and it's closed when you open the next.
- • Makes your tasks and projects available to every AI tool you use
- • Due dates, attachments, follow-ups

Skills That Work Everywhere
Write down how you want something done once, and any AI you connect can follow it — no pasting the same instructions into each new tool. Put a schedule on a skill and it comes due on its own, so the next assistant you talk to picks it up.
- • Use one on demand, or put it on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule
- • Edit the instructions any time — every connected AI uses the new version

Trackers: Your Private Database
Keep count of whatever matters — weight, miles, mood, spend — and keep the history behind it, not just today's number. Ask any connected AI how the last three months went and it reads the same entries you see charted here.
- • Track any kind of recurring information
- • Analyze trends, and give your AI the ability to act on the data

Penny makes your AI tools work like they are supposed to.
I almost forget that I'm using Penny until Claude reminded me of something I had done weeks ago that was already complete. I had forgotten!

Francisco
I work in several different coding tools, and the cool thing is that I can jump between them and not skip a beat because Penny remembers everything.

Matt
Seriously, I almost can't believe how little I have to remind GPT of something. It used to happen multiple times a day, now it just knows me.

Carly
This is the best AI memory system I've ever used. It's so incredibly easy to get started and it has way more powerful memory and note capture than anything I've tried.

Graham
Security that's more than skin deep

Every time your memory is decrypted, it's recorded before the key is used. You can see every access in your dashboard, and each day's record is sealed into an append-only, tamper-evident log on a different cloud than your data. Out-of-the-ordinary access by a person is published individually, right away.
- • A public, tamper-evident log seals your access record daily
- • You have your own private key, stored in a separate vault
Your memory belongs to you. Not to an AI company.
Three steps, then it gets out of your way.

Questions.
Where is my memory stored?
On infrastructure we run for you, encrypted at rest with a 256-bit key unique to you — so a leaked database is unreadable. We don't claim we can't read your memory; we commit that we won't, and every decryption is on record in your dashboard, sealed daily into a public, tamper-evident log you can audit. The AI tools you connect see only what they ask for, when you ask.
Which AI tools work with Penny?
Any tool that speaks the Model Context Protocol. Today that includes Claude on desktop and web, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Cursor, and Codex - with more arriving as MCP adoption grows.
Can I export everything?
You can read, edit, and delete your memories and notes from your dashboard today, and request a full export anytime - we fulfill export requests on request. One-click export in a portable format is on the way. Your memory is yours; we just hold it.
Can I delete a memory?
Yes — one memory, a tag, or all of it. Deleted memories sit in a 30-day recoverable trash, then they're gone for real. Deletion is deletion, not a soft flag.
Do you train on my data?
No. Your memory exists to serve you across your own tools. The intelligence is whatever LLM you connect. Penny is the memory layer, not a model. For any background processes we use only directly hosted hardware and zero-data-retention (ZDR) providers so none of your data is available to companies that would use it for training.
What if I stop paying?
You get an export window. After that we delete what we hold, because it's yours.
Ready when you are.
