Capture and schedule tasks

Turn an action into a To-do, choose when to work on it, and keep its deadline distinct.

Use Tasks for something that needs doing. A note preserves knowledge; a task keeps an action visible until you complete or cancel it.

Open Tasks and add a short action title, such as “Send the workshop outline.” Open the task to add context, choose its Project or Area, and set its Owner. Select Save after editing.

The When setting controls when you intend to work on the task. Choose Today, On a date, Anytime, or Someday. Deadline records when it must be finished. You can plan to work on an outline Monday while keeping its Friday deadline.

Use the sidebar to move between Inbox, Today, Upcoming, Anytime, and Someday. New tasks that have not been scheduled or filed may appear in Inbox and Anytime. A task added while Today is selected is scheduled for today.

You can also ask a connected AI: “Create a Penny task to send the workshop outline. Schedule it for Monday, set Friday as the deadline, and assign it to me.” Review the saved dates and placement in the dashboard.

Mark the task done when the action is complete. Assigning a task to your AI records ownership; it does not establish that an agent is running or will complete the task without a connected session.
