Correct a saved memory

Update the original note or core memory so an old fact does not keep returning.

Updated October 12, 2026

When a saved fact is wrong or out of date, correct the record that contains it. Adding a separate “that was wrong” note can leave both versions available for later searches.

For a note, open Notes, find the original, and read it in full. Change the inaccurate passage, preserve the useful context, and select Save. If a decision changed over time, say what changed and when instead of making the old decision appear to have never happened.

For a standing fact or preference, open Core and edit the relevant card. A temporary project update usually belongs in a note or Project progress rather than a standing preference.

You can ask your connected AI: “Find the Penny note that says the workshop is on Tuesday. The confirmed date is Thursday. Show me the correction and update that note.” Ask it to read the saved version afterward.

If the dashboard reports that the note changed since you opened it, your draft remains available. Compare it with Current saved Note before continuing. Include any useful changes from the newer version rather than overwriting them accidentally.

Finally, ask the AI to read the corrected record again. The current chat may still contain the earlier version it retrieved.
