A Project gives an ongoing piece of work a place to keep its purpose and current state. Use one when the work will continue across several conversations or contains several related tasks.
Open Projects and select New Project. Give it a name and describe what you want to accomplish or decide. Select Create Project to open its brief.
The brief separates information by its job:
- Purpose records the outcome you are working toward.
- Progress records where the work stands.
- Instructions keep directions specific to this Project.
- Resources connect relevant saved material.
- Plan holds suggested next steps and To-dos.
After a useful work session, update Progress or save a Checkpoint describing what changed and what remains open. You can ask a connected AI: “Read my Project brief before we continue. When we finish, update its progress and the next steps we agreed on.” Check the saved brief after the update.
A suggested step and a To-do have different states. Accept as To-do turns a suggestion into an actionable task. Changing the Project’s Status leaves its To-dos unchanged, so review those separately when work finishes.
If a linked resource changed after the latest Project update, read that resource before relying on the Progress summary.
