We don't train on your data, and we only use AI providers that don't train on it either.
Penny uses processing services to make memory useful: for example, to create the search representations that help find a note and to organize memories in background work. Our processing services receive the information needed for those tasks. The commitment is about how they use it, including that they do not train on it.
When you connect an AI app to Penny, that app receives the memories it requests in readable form so it can use them as context. The AI provider you choose has its own privacy, retention, and data-use settings. Penny's provider commitments do not replace that provider's terms for your conversations.
Before connecting an app, review its data controls. You can inspect your saved memory in the Penny dashboard and remove an app's future access under Settings → Connections. Disconnecting stops further authorized Penny requests; it does not erase conversations or memory copies already held by the app.
The Privacy page explains which types of service providers receive memory content and which receive only account or billing information.
